Heat control, Waterproofing and Protection for all substrates

XOTHERM is a special coating with remarkable properties with regard to heat control, waterproofing and protection against the heat produced from the sun’s rays for all substrates: slate, concrete, brick, cement blocks, asphalt, roofing felt, wood, asbestos-cement and all painted or unpainted metals.

COMPOSITION :
XOTHERM is a high quality water-based acrylic membrane, which re-radiates the heat caused by solar rays.
It is a water-based co-polymer containing inert pigments and special coatings.

THE ADVANTAGES OF XOTHERM

21st century technology…
XOTHERM membranes and coatings have the remarkable ability of stopping solar heat transfer.
XOTHERM is applied to the external surface of a structure in liquid form and dries to a solid protective finish.
XOTHERM prevents 90 % of infrared and 85 % of ultraviolet light from entering a structure, re-radiating it back into the atmosphere.
The structure therefore remains cool in the sun with XOTHERM thus creating a cooling envelope.

A unique and revolutionary formula…
The composition of XOTHERM is unique.
It is unmatched in its ability to stop damage caused by the transfer of solar heat.
The successful combination of a unique re-radiating component in a resin base with special integral properties, has enabled manufacturers to develop a range of coatings with maximum efficiency for a wide range of applications.

Technical data
XOTHERM
is a water-based co-polymer containing inert pigments and special filters.
It is a single-component system with excellent adhesion and is microporous, impermeable to salt spray and airborne pollution, resistant to mould and fungi and will not flake, crack or peel.
XOTHERM has undergone thorough testing and is hailed by world authorities for heat transfer prevention.

Solar heat transfer
Throughout the day, infrared and ultraviolet rays cross through exposed roofs and walls to heat the infrastructure and inner air. This heat progressively increases as the day continues.
Once the heat has penetrated the infrastructure, it becomes trapped. Even after the sun has set and the outside air has cooled, it remains uncomfortably hot inside.
Internal installations such as foam and insulating covers, etc. only slow the rate of heat transfer. They do not stop it.

The difference with XOTHERM…
XOTHERM’s unique properties prevent heat from penetrating to an uneven level.
XOTHERM is unique in its MO. Studies of its effectiveness have highlighted a difference of 20 °C or more during very hot days. In the cold season, the difference is not as significant.
In simpler terms, XOTHERM reduces inner temperature fluctuations, therefore providing greater comfort.
This remarkable difference has both direct and indirect benefits from a financial point of view.

Cost-effective…
XOTHERM efficiently reduces costs by increasing the life expectancy of structures and by reducing energy consumption.
The savings made with regard to air conditioning are estimated at more than 61 %.
Combined savings from structural works, energy and maintenance further improve the cost-effective nature of this product.
