TYPICAL USES AND THEIR EFFECTS

  • On metal to reduce expansion and contraction – the causes of structural damage requiring continual maintenance or leading to premature replacement operations.
  • On concrete to reduce expansion and contraction – the causes of cracks appearing in masonry.
  • To reduce dependence on mechanical air conditioning systems in buildings, and thus reduce energy expenses. Where air conditioning is required, a smaller cooling unit may be sufficient.
  • An increase in productivity and performance becomes possible with a reduction in absenteeism due to an improved working and living environment.
  • A reduction in losses caused by overheated storage warehouses is also possible.

ENERGY AND THE ENVIRONMENT

Whether directly or indirectly, the application of XOTHERM is a step towards sustainable development by:

  • Significantly lowering energy consumption
  • Extending the life of structures
  • Reducing maintenance operations

With the known increase in energy costs and a growing concern for the environment, choosing the right solution to solar heat stress is paramount.
The manufacturers of XOTHERM believe environmental solutions are a global priority and have thus selected Xotherm as the 21st century solution.

AWARDS

XOTHERM is the result of many years of research by the Australian Ray Brooks.
His experience in producing special-purpose coatings and membranes, particularly in the field of solar radiation, resulted in an outstanding breakthrough in the understanding of this vitally important sector.

XOTHERM was presented with the “Most Innovative New Product” Award in 1991 by the New South Wales Department of Minerals and Energy.

XOTHERM won the Silver Award for the EPIF 2006 ECO-Awards by the Asian Productivity Organisation (APO), SPRING Singapore (Standards, Productivity and Innovation board) and the Waste Management and Recycling Association of Singapore (WMRAS).
